You can also check us out at https://www.acromedia.com/ In the previous 2 videos, we configured a new product attribute using a rendered color field. Now, we will set up a new product variation that uses the product attribute and a variety of custom fields. In Drupal Commerce, product variations are the specific instances of a product that customers will purchase. For example, a hat is the overall product but a large blue hat is the variation that the customer would ultimately buy. The site used in this video is our Urban Hipster demo site. We built this site specifically to showcase the power and adaptability of Drupal Commerce 2. 1 - Per Product Shipping Costs Using Product Fields - Drupal Commerce Shipping by Weight

16:54
In simple terms, this Drupal Commerce tutorial shows you how to create a shipping cost from a field that is in your commerce product. From a fresh install of Drupal 7.x and Drupal Commerce, I go through the process of configuring shipping in your Drupal Commerce Store, so you can apply a per-item shipping fee or charge for each item that is multiplied by the quantity and then multiplied by the weight that is a percent to create a shipping cost. I cover the views to help show a better presentation of your products. I go through the modules and the rules, conditions, and components that allow this to happen. I used the physical weight modules to apply a weight field, and then I setup a Component that becomes tied into the shipping configuration and rules. It adds the action of adding an amount to the unit price; however, it adds it to the shipping rate through Flat Rate, which is calculated by multiplying the weight by 10%. This is a simple tutorial that explains everything from a new install of Drupal Commerce that explains everything from start to finish in creating a shipping rate that can be different for all products. Drupal Auto Assign Role Module: Control your Drupal roles

08:10
Drupal Auto Assign Role Module: Control your Drupal roles Daily Dose of Drupal Episode 190 - http://codekarate.com/daily-dose-of-drupal/drupal-auto-assign-role-module The Drupal 7 Auto Assign Role module allows you a lot of flexibility in deciding what roles users receive on your Drupal 7 website. If you have ever needed to allow a user to select their own role, or if you have ever needed to automatically assign a role to every user on your Drupal site. This is the module for you. There are three options for configuring the auto assign role module. One is to always automatically assign a specific role to every user that signs up for your site. The second option is to allow a user to select one or more roles on the user registration page when they are signing up for their user account. The last option is to have separate registration pages for each role. This one allows you to really design the user registration process to a specific workflow. This module can be very useful on social networking sites, forum or discussion board sites, some types of ecommerce sites (where you might want to allow users to sign up as sellers), and much more. This module is useful anytime you want a user to be able to categorize themselves into a specific role, and you want those roles to have different permissions across your site. DrupalCon New Orleans 2016: Drupal's Big B2B Commerce Opportunity

01:06:27
This session will describe how B2B commerce poses unique challenges to most eCommerce platforms, and how the inherent "goodness" of Drupal can be leveraged to solve complex B2B eCommerce problems. This session will raise awareness with the audience of new types of client profiles / scenarios where Drupal is a particularly good fit, and provide proof points to help clients understand why it is a good technology option for them. B2B ecommerce is just different. When companies transact with consumers online, certain things are taken for granted as "standard"... you and I are going to pay the same price for a product, use a personal credit card to pay for it, and I will be able to specify where I want the goods shipped to. These "standards" are all turned on their head in the realm of B2B. Different customers pay different prices for the same product, and usually pay a different unit cost based on how many they order (or even when they want it). Payment methods abound, credit card, direct debit, or generation of an invoice to be paid later. And the customer is no longer a single entity, but rather a company made up of multiple users, each with different purchase permissions. Most eCommerce platforms out there were built from the ground up to accomodate B2C use cases and process flows, and when agencies try to utilize these platforms to accomodate complex B2B client requirements, they usually find that they need to heavily customize or "un-do" many of the core capabilities that are built into the platform. Drupal Commerce is different. Using some of the foundational concepts / building blocks that are baked into Drupal (nodes, taxonomies, views, feeds, etc.), savvy Drupal site builders and developers are able build eCommerce applications that support complex B2B transaction types without a lot extra code "overhead". This session will reveal just how the complexities of B2B eCommerce pose challenges for traditional commerce platforms, and shed light on yet another scenario where Drupal is the right tool for the job Some knowledge of Drupal and eCommerce is recommended.

Shipping Rates based on Product Quantity

20:14
Join Josh Miller as he walks you through how to set up quantity based Flat Rate shipping. TL/DR: Create three different flat rates, set them up to only show conditionally a number of products, create two rate calculation rules that multiply the base rate per product in cart. Original question here: http://drupal.stackexchange.com/questions/125948/how-do-i-do-per-item-shipping-based-on-the-number-of-products 1. Install https://www.drupal.org/project/commerce_shipping and https://www.drupal.org/project/commerce_flat_rate 2. Create three different flat rates (I recommend you keep the "Title" different, but change the "Display Title" to be the same, so the rate change is transparent to the user) 3. Configure each flat rate component to have a condition on "Total product quantity comparison" so that only the appropriate rates show up based on number of products. Note this will only work if you use the standard line item type "Product" ... if you have custom line item types, you will have to create a component that does the comparison/counting that you need. 4. In order to count the number of eligible products, we will need to create a component rule that has a "line item" parameter and has an "number decimal" provided called "is_a_product". This component simply needs to have a condition on entity bundle for "Product" and needs an action that "sets a data value" ... the is_a_product ... to the line-item:quantity. 5. Next, we will need to create a pricing rule for your first "Medium" level shipping price calculation. A. Once you discover where to create the shipping price calculation rule you will need to create two conditions: - Entity has field (it should have the shipping service field) - Data Comparison (the shipping service field should equal the medium shipping service) B. Now you will need to count the number of products. Let's add an action "create a variable" for an number decimal called "num_products" C. Next you will need to loop over all the line items in the order. D. Next you will add an action for the component you created in step 4. E. Then you will need to "Calculate a value" by adding the "num_products" and the "is_a_product" (through some testing I confirmed the integer is zero by default) and then save the result by "setting a data value" and setting "num_products" to the result value F. Finally, you will need to "Multiply the unit price by some amount" and select the num_products as the multiplier 6. Repeat step 5 for each breakdown of product quantity rate change

Create Amazing Select Boxes with Chosen in Drupal

By: Ivan Zugec http://webwash.net | http://twitter.com/webwashnet Modules: - Chosen (https://www.drupal.org/project/chosen) - Libraries API (https://drupal.org/project/libraries) Transcript: Chosen is a jQuery plugin that converts long select boxes into a more user friendly form element. The plugin adds auto-complete functionality to select boxes, and this makes it easier for users to navigate through long select lists. Go to the Chosen homepage to see it in action. In this video, we'll look at the Chosen Drupal module which integrates the jQuery plugin with Drupal. Before we begin, download the Chosen plugin directly from GitHub and extract the zip file into `sites/all/libraries`. Once the plugin has been extracted the path should be `sites/all/libraries/chosen`. Finally, download and install Chosen and Libraries API module. Chosen works pretty well out of the box. But let's head over to the configuration page, go to Configuration and Chosen. The most important field is the "Apply Chosen to the following elements". Here you can control which elements Chosen will be applied on. By default Chosen will be applied to all select elements. But if you want more control over which elements it's applied on, then use this field. As an example, let's now limit Chosen to a single select element. First change "Minimum number of options" to "aways apply" and click on "Save Configuration". Click on Content, and what we'll do is only apply Chosen to the "Update options" drop-down list. First, we need to inspect the element and get the ID. The ID for the element is "edit-operation". Head back to the Chosen configuration page and add "select#edit-operation" into the field and click on Save configuration. Now, if we go back to Content, Chosen has only be applied to the "Update options" drop-down list. That's how you limit Chosen to a specific element. Now let's head back to the Chosen configuration page. Before we continue add "select:visible" back in. The "Minimum number of options" select list is another to take note of. By default it's set to 20, what this means is that Chosen will only be applied to an element if it has 20 options or more. You can change it so that Chosen aways applies, or you can choose between 5 or 25. Next, you can change the minimum width of the widget. By default it's set to 200px. If you scroll down, you can change the way Chosen searches select options, and you can also change a few strings that are displayed by the element. Let's now apply Chosen to the Tags field on the Article content type. Go to Content, "Add content" and Article. You can see that the Tags field is a auto-complete widget, we first need to change it over to a select element for Chosen to work. Go to Structure, "Content types" and "manage fields", and click on Edit. Click on the "Widget type" tab and select "Select list" from the "Widget type" drop-down list and click on Continue. Now if we head back to the "Create article" page, Chosen should be applied onto the Tags field. You can select an option directly by clicking on the field or you can search options by typing.
