Brand identity guidelines. A walk through guide of a brand identity / logo guidelines document.

07:11
I've had many requests to do a video where I run through an example of a brand identity guidelines document. So, I am happy to oblige :) Brand identity or logo guidelines as they can often be referred to; are a useful way of quickly accessing technical details about your logo such as colour codes and font types. They are also a way of making sure that your logo is always presented in the way that it is intended, no matter who is using it. Stay Creative! Slim Man Style Guide - What To Wear When You Are Skinny & Lean

18:02
Read our in-depth guide here: https://gentl.mn/slim-men-style How to Dress if You’re Shorter: https://gentl.mn/2AbUMdS Tall Men Style Tips: https://gentl.mn/2IYecWu How Many Suits Do You Really Need? https://gentl.mn/2PBkSMI Here are some tips from one slim man to another on how to dress well in order to look healthy and masculine. General Guidelines: 1. Avoid wearing clothing that makes you look frail. Many thin men often try to disguise their frames by wearing clothing that's too large for them thinking that the extra fabric is going to make them look bigger, however, in reality, the opposite is actually true. At the same time, however, thin men should also stay clear of super skinny or skin-tight styles because these two are just going to draw attention to your thin frame. What's the solution then? Simply put you just have to find clothing that's going to fit you just right. 2. Wear colors and patterns that boost your visual heft. As a general rule, lighter colors like white, beige, or pastels are going to make you appear a little bit larger overall. Just as darker colors and the quintessential black are said to be slimming, the opposite effect is true for lighter clothing. Meanwhile, wearing patterns will create a sense of movement in your outfit and will also make you seem larger. 3. Wear multiple layers. With each additional layer you put on, you're going to be adding a bit more bulk. One layer on its own might not necessarily make a difference but if you're wearing multiple layers in conjunction, you'll be able to build up your frame a little bit more. 4. Find ways to make your neck look larger. Turtleneck sweaters are of course the classic choice to create this effect but you also do have other options. For example, you could have a zip neck, a stand collar, or a shawl collar on a sweater in particular. Also, simply wearing a dress shirt with a sturdy collar assisted further by the aid of collar stays is a good way to minimize the appearance of your neck because the pattern of the shirt will be carried upward a little bit by the verticality of the collar. * T-shirts, polos, dress shirts, or any other type of shirt just like any garment in general for the slim man, should fit the body closely without being too tight. * The jacket which is a garment specifically designed to make a man look stronger and give him a more ideal masculine silhouette. Suit jackets, sport coats, and blazers are all designed with the goal of accentuating the features of the male form making the man look more muscular. They achieve this in a variety of ways when it comes to the details of their styling. One way that a jacket does this is by broadening your shoulders. * As we said toward the beginning of the video, slim men won't benefit from wearing pants that are much too baggy nor will they look good in super skinny cuts. Rather you should try to find something in the middle usually that will be labeled, fittingly enough, as slim. * Depending on your own personal preference, a necktie with the width of about two and three-quarters to three and 1/2 inches is going to look good on a slim frame. Just remember that the overall width of your necktie should be relatively in sync with the width of your jacket's lapel so that everything is harmonious overall. * Regarding shoes, go for something understated and on the slim side rather than something more utilitarian and chunky. Loafers are going to be a good bet for you as is anything from an Italian manufacturer as their styles are typically slimmer than some parts elsewhere around the world. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? A style guide is a set of standards in terms of the writing designing and presenting of a document, this is most commonly used for publications, organizations and fields. Why would you need a style guide? By creating a style it creates consistency for your brand and brand communication. Also if you are working with external forces such as a designer, an editor or a marketing firm having a set rules help people also to identify signature aspects of your brand. 1. Color pallets (Coca cola), When creating a brand it’s important to select color that represents the brand and stay consistent when using the colors. 2. Do and don’ts. Due to a strict set of rules it is possible to establish don’ts such as don’t for consistency. 3.Photography Photography is used to get an overview of the aesthetic that you want to create for a brand. With the aesthetic aspect the way you want to present yourself through the use of pictures and images. For example the Oneway-channel it’s genre is based in sport fitness and health so the environment you will expect a gym setting. 4. Typography Typography is the style and appearance of printed matter in this case it’s the often the main tool of communication to present your branding. For those who do not have that type of budget try out the website dafont.com for some free fonts. When using a font make sure it fits with the tone. 5. Editorial Is a summed up mission and goal statements that one use to explain to a other individual what the brand stands for and the overall objective of the brand. A couple of questions to help you on your way: What do you want to tell the world? Why was the brand founded? which values need to be communicated through the brand? Does the brand use humor? Is there slang used and how do you set yourself apart from your competition? The use of pronouns do you use you me we us so do you want to create a community.? This also translates into how you apply your method of communication #RealisticViewer #realistic #marketing #youtubeseo #achievemore
pep8.org — The Prettiest Way to View the PEP 8 Python Style Guide

07:36
Improve your Python skills, one bite at a time: https://dbader.org/python-tricks PEP 8 is the most popular code style guide for Python. It's widely known and used by the Python community. If you're looking for formatting advice on your Python code, look no further. It's a good time investment to spend a few hours reading through PEP 8 and learning how to apply its recommendation to your own projects. A common challenge with applying PEP 8 is that the original web page on python.org for it is kind of difficult to read—for example there's no code highlighting or a persistent table of contents you can use to navigate around. pep8.org is a project that aims to change this. It's a "nicely formatted" version of the original PEP 8 document with the goal to make this wonderful Python style guide more accessible and easier to share. pep8.org is an open-source project that was started by Kenneth Reitz, the creator of Requests and many other popular Python packages. I was happy to bump into Kenneth at PyCon 2017 (because he's one of my personal "Python heroes") and in the course of that I became a co-maintainer for pep8.org and brought it up to date and made some small fixes to the website over the last couple of days. In this video you'll see how pep8.org can help you write cleaner and more beautiful Python code that follows the PEP 8 community style guide. How to Write in APA Style

08:45
On this episode, we discuss how to write and format a paper in APA style, which is most commonly used in scientific writing and social sciences writing in subjects like criminology, anthropology, and psychology. Specifically, we address the following topics: What is APA style? Why do we use APA style? What are the basic formatting rules? For example, it should be written in 12-point font, be double spaced, and have 1-inch margins all around. What are some APA abbreviation rules? For example, do not put periods in between letters of abbreviations unless it's a Latin abbreviation or the words U.S. or U.K. How should I use charts and graphs in APA style? For example, text within charts and figures must be Sans Serif and be between 8 to 14-point font in size. What should my title page look like? For example, it should include the paper's title, author's name, and institution's name centered and in title case. What is an abstract and what should it look like? For example, the Abstract paragraph is in 12-point font and is double spaced. What should in-text citations look like? For example, in-text citations should include the author's last name followed by the year of publication. How should the references page be formatted? For example, References should be centered at the top, without bold, italics, or underlining. Bynder Brand Identity Guidelines Tour

03:36
Our brand guidelines module acts as a style guide to help to enforce brand consistency within your organisation. Finding information within the brand guidelines module is quick and easy. Elements of your brand such as your logo, fonts used on the website and the colours that form your brand are segmentable. This means that the user can find guidance on the part of the brand they're dealing with, as fast as possible. In the past, brands have been constrained to hosting their brand guidelines on a pdf, or another form of static document. This means that whenever the brand guidelines are updated, the pdf must be redistributed to all parties concerned. With the Bynder brand guidelines module, the brand guidelines are hosted in one easily accessible place. This means that any changes are automatically available to all stakeholders, without the need to redistribute the brand guidelines. Sharing the brand guidelines with other members of your team has now been made easier. By clicking a share icon within the brand guidelines, an email window will appear with a link directly to your guidelines. Converting the guidelines to pdf is also an option within the module. This might be useful if you want to share the guidelines with an external stakeholder, such as a PR agency, to ensure that your branding stays consistent across their work too. Brand guidelines can also integrate with the Bynder digital asset management module. This opens up a whole avenue of ways to easily import assets into your brand guidelines. The inclusion of these visual assets means that the guidelines offer a more in-depth understanding of how your brand should be presented. For example, the different backgrounds that your logo should not be presented on, as well as the specific font type and text colour that your brand requires.
