Check out our vacancies: https://housinganywhere.workable.com/ 1) Where are you from? I was born in Portugal but I grew up in France. Long story short, my parents are originally from Africa, my dad from Cape Verde and my mum from Guinea Bissau. 2) What did you study? I studied in France, a Masters of Management and Technology with a major in Marketing, during this cursus I did one Erasmus exchange in Innsbruck, Austria with a focus on E-marketing and also 3 internships of which the last one was at HousingAnywhere as Account Manager in 2015. 3) What work experience did you have before joining HousingAnywhere? My first internship was in my home town called Reims in the north of France, in a company called Smurfit Kappa. I worked there for 7 months in the purchasing and logistic department. Then before joining HousingAnywhere I did a second internship also in my hometown but this time in a marketing position in a company called Forbo Flooring Systems. 4) What attracted you to HousingAnywhere? Can you tell us a bit about your first job at HousingAnywhere? So, I applied for an internship at HousingAnywhere because it was my fourth year at school and it was required. I already had done two internships before. My main goal was to be abroad and I was really attracted to The Netherlands. What caught my eye with HousingAnywhere is the international scope and also the problem of housing, that I could relate to. 5) How did HousingAnywhere support your development in the company? In terms of development in the company, the best opportunity that HousingAnywhere offers is basically that you can just do anything yourself. It is a company where we don’t have a huge budget but we can try things, we can test them. And if you prove that you’re right, then we develop them. So, it’s really about the whole mindset of the company. Its how you are able to pitch your idea to Niels, our founder, if he likes your argument or not. We have discussions during the team meetings, the friday demo and even the drinks, where you can submit your ideas. You can speak up for yourself and suggest what the right thing to do is. 6) What makes you passionate about your job? and ultimately HousingAnywhere? What makes me passionate about my job is probably the people. We all relate to our core activity that is a housing platform for international students. I met a great number of people here, from Venezuela, from UK, from Denmark an so on. So many new friends! That’s the reason also that I wake up in the morning. Of course, the mission and vision of the company as well. But more than this its how the team is and behaves and works together. This is the main reason I come to the office. 7) Can you tell us a little bit about what you do now? How diverse are your daily tasks? My daily tasks are really, really diverse. I take care of the team of Promotion Coordinators, the designer and the liaison officer. My first goal is of course to help them achieve their goals. Furthermore, now the focus is mainly on SEO performance. More with a focus on link building and content creation. Besides that I am also the brand manager so everything around branding and designs, I am involved with. And now, I cannot even tell you other things, because there is a lot of things in my mind. There are a lot of different things in the company going on and my role is also to make everyone aligned. That’s a small part of it, I cannot say it to a full extend. 8) What’s the best memory you’ve had since working in the company? I cannot choose the best memory of this company, it’s impossible. There is one really cool thing I can mention. I did my internship for eight months and then I had to finish my masters back in France. During that time I was in touch still but Niels offered me a full-time contract even though I was coming back after that internship. The first day I got back to the office was actually the day of the ‘office party’ and it was a Friday, so basically I didn’t work. In the morning I just onboarded again with my emails andall the tools and in the afternoon we spent the whole day preparing for the party. So, voilà, welcome back Irma, haha!

I made this video right after my back to school experience in Master's degree class this september in Paris. I am currently studying luxury brand Communication and marketing and I made this video to share wiht you guys my insight and my experience in this milieu. In addition to this, you'll see also that working in luxury requires to have extensive life experience but also some cross-cultural knowledge. That is why I would recommend anyone to be aware by reading, assisting to press conferences, travelling, visiting galeries, etc. Studying Luxury in Paris is for me a must. Being here at the heart of the french craftsmanship really enhances both your perceptions and experiences. It gives you a sort of legitimacy and added value anyone could trust. Another that I love with luxury, is that it really gives you the opportunity to meet and encounter very interesting characters. People that you meet in this milieu are very educated and passionate. They love sharing and discussing about their experiences. I hope this video will help you getting into depth of this industry that many people consider for being closed or exclusive. It has to be exclusive, since excellence is at stake. However, being exclusive is not a bad thing when it comes to sharing and cultivating what man can do at its best in the world.

Thought it would a fun idea to give you guys a glimpse into a day in my life, which is my life as a new clothing brand director which is very exciting! I am planning to release my first collection later this year, and although this has been so stressful and money/time consuming, I know that this was something I have always wanted to do. I get many comments on certain videos that my life is "goals" or I'm a "spoiled rich kid," but the truth is I CHOOSE to portray the good parts of my life. I don't talk about the days where I am depressed, extremely stressed out about my future financially and upload videos of me showcasing the better parts of my life. My Internship: Working With Velocity Brand Management (VBM)

My internship placement is with Velocity Brand Management, better known as "VBM." At VBM, they specialize in a vast number of things. The main thing they are known for is brand licensing. Brand licensing, commonly referred to as "brand leasing," works to establish a partnership between licensor and retailer then have both sides collaborate to develop a program that has retail appeal and profitable market segmentation. I work four days a week which are split between the VBM Sydney office and the VBM Warehouse in Artamon. At the office, I work with Paul and Eve, the Licensing Director and Licensing Manager, on anything ranging from creating programs/ publications for V8 Supercars events to photographing retail merchandise for National Rugby League teams for use in new presentations. At the VBM Warehouse, I get the chance to experience what it's like to work with VBM Retail. VBM Retail has plenty to do with product development, product management, advertising, web design, product approval (which is something I do almost everyday), customer relations, and so much more. I work a lot with the Product Development Director and Manager. And there are other days where I work with the Marketing team as well. This company is very diverse in all it has to offer from marketing to brand management to manufacturing to licensing. Everyday, I am doing working on something that takes a couple of weeks to finish in addition to taking on a new project or assignment everyday. I LOVE IT! Although things started out slow in the beginning, I soon realized that I had to take baby steps to achieve that goals I was aiming for. I am also surrounded by a great group of people at the office and the warehouse who are always there to help. Honestly, VBM is a wonderful company to work for and I'm happy to be interning with a company that Australian sports can't function without lol. The management invitation system of youtube channels is broken! I managed to figure out how to bypass it. This video explains it: First, how to invite: 1) Login to youtube 2) Make sure the page your trying to share access to is a brand account, if it's not you have to create a new brand account and transfer your videos there (there are videos about this around, i'm not covering it here) 3) Make sure you associate a google+ profile to it (there are videos of this around aswell, i'm not covering it here) 4) go to https://www.youtube.com/account using your sharable account 5) click "Add or remove managers" 6) click "Manage Permissions" 7) add the email of the person you want to add, select their role and click the invite button They should receive an email with the invite and get a pop up on their google+ account when they login _BUT THEY DON'T BECAUSE YOUTUBE IS A BROKEN PIECE OF SHIT_ So, how to accept it? Possible solutions listed and why they don't work: 1) maybe email is in spam folder: it's not on spam 2) login to google+ and go to classic view: there is no classic view toggle button anymore 3) login to google+ and go to the brand page itself: still no popup 4) you need to follow the brand page first and then re-invite: nop, still nothing popsup What actually works: The only way to accept the request is to magically know you're supposed to go to this page: https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/brandaccounts/123456789123456789123/accept And replace the number ids by the id of your brand page. Starting with a $7,500 donation in May 1999 to launch the first radio program, Rick’s faith in God and steadfast determination has overseen the growth and development of TruNews into an internationally recognized source of credible news and information in a world where nothing seems to make sense anymore. Rick’s professional career was in media marketing and advertising sales. Throughout his early years, God’s hand silently guided him to be in employed in the latest new media. While in his early 20’s, Rick’s first media job was with a new FM radio station in the days when AM was still king. In 1980, he blazed a path as a pioneer in local cable television advertising when CNN and ESPN were new start-up channels on cable TV. As a sales manager, he launched one of the first cable advertising interconnects in the nation. He was hired in 1984 by the Christian Broadcasting Network as the first National Cable Marketing Manager for the new CBN Cable Network which later became the Family Channel. In 1995, Paul F. Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry — and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirectTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems.
