I Joined a Russian Dating Site - See how it ended [Kult America]

05:23
A few years back I met a sex tourist in Kiev who told me that he would open fake social media accounts to meet women who he would sleep with and then abandon. I was super disturbed by that and had always wondered if eastern european women are actually so desperate or if maybe western guys were just being pigs. In an effort to find a little more insight I decided to not only join a Russian dating site myself, but sign my own wife up as well. The results were surprising, basically no women wrote to me and my wife received over 100 letters from guys. With that in mind, I was forced to conclude that in terms of desperation it would seem western guys are the ones to be in the spotlight. Amazing Turkish Food and Attractions in Istanbul - Istanbul, Turkey, Travel Guide!

29:49
►Subscribe: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full playlist: https://goo.gl/fjaKHn ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv Day 9: Istanbul, Turkey - This was a day of sightseeing at some of the most famous attractions in Istanbul that I’ve wanted to visit my entire life including the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. And the read highlight of the day for me was the incredible Turkish food, especially the kebabs. Museum Pass Istanbul - 85 TRY ($28.88) - Before getting started with the things we did in this video, I purchased a Museum Pass for Istanbul, which granted me access to a few of the attractions without having to stand in line. I’m not sure if I really saved much money, but it did save time. 2:00 Sultan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque) - Our first stop of the day in this attractions in Istanbul video was the Sultan Ahmet Camii, which is commonly known as the Blue Mosque due to its blue tiles on the inside. We actually arrived a little too early in the morning, so they were not open yet, so we walked around the Hippodrome of Constantinople for a few minutes. When the Blue Mosque opened, we went inside. Both inside and outside are incredible to see. 5:37 Hagia Sophia - One of the most famous pieces of architecture in all of Istanbul and one of the most famous attractions is Hagia Sophia. It started off as a church, later became a mosque, and now it’s an official museum. After entering, you can walk around the main room, but the highlight of visiting Hagia Sophia for me was walking up to the upper galleries for some amazing views from above. 8:24 Topkapi Palace - Finally, one more of the most famous attractions in Istanbul, and located right in the same area as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque is Topkapi Palace, which was an Ottoman Palace. You can walk around the gardens and palace structures, which are now galleries. I especially enjoyed the Imperial Harem, which was a section of the palace reserved for women, and the best preserved area of the palace. 11:25 Sehzade Erzurum Cag Kebab (Şehzade Cağ Kebap) - There are many different types of Turkish food, and cag kebab is a type of kebab from Erzurum in Eastern Turkey. According some some men I met while eating the amazing kebabs, this is the best restaurant for cag kebab in all of Istanbul. The type of kebab is made from lamb, and instead of being on a vertical skewer like other types of kebabs, it’s grilled on a horizontal skewer. The meat is cooked with wood fire, and slice off onto smaller skewers to be served. If you get a chance to try cag kebab, it’s an absolutely stunning Turkish food. The entire meal was delicious, but the best part was meeting the owner of Sehzade Erzurum Cag Kebab and eating a slice of the meat right off the roll hot and fresh. Out entire meal cost 85 TL ($28.88). 20:34 Basilica Cistern - 20 TRY ($6.80) - Arter the amazing Turkish food lunch, we headed over to see the Basilica cistern, one of many underground cisterns in Istanbul. It was interesting to see. We then headed to the hotel for a rest, and then went out again for dinner. 23:27 Dinner at Balkan Lokantasi - Beşiktaş is a neighborhood in Istanbul and we walked over to a restaurant for dinner in that neighborhood called Balkan Lokantasi. It was an extremely busy restaurant serving all sorts of different Turkish food in a cafeteria like style. You walk through the line, choose whatever dishes you want, and pay for what you get. You can eat a serious feast for a pretty good price. I got a little confused and didn’t really know what I was doing, so ended up ordering what was way too much food. But that’s alright, it was all really delicious. It was fantastic day of Turkish food and visiting some attractions in Istanbul that I had wanted to visit my entire life. Turkish Food Tour in Istanbul - BEST Kebabs of My Life, AMAZING Seafood, and Turkish Ice Cream!

32:22
►Check out my Istanbul Travel Food Guide: https://goo.gl/gRsk6W ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera gear I use: https://goo.gl/Vky1ke The first thing we did in the morning in Istanbul was drive over to Beşiktaş to eat an amazing Turkish food breakfast at a restaurant called Çakmak Kahvaltı Salonu. From there we took the ferry across the Bosphorus to Kadiköy, where we had an incredible Turkish seafood meal for lunch. Finally, we enjoyed some Turkish ice cream, and the show, and had the most incredible kebab I’ve ever had in my life at Zübeyir Ocakbaşı Restaurant. It was an amazing day of Turkish food in Istanbul! 1:27 Turkish breakfast at Çakmak Kahvaltı Salonu - For breakfast we headed to Beşiktaş, one of my favorite areas of Istanbul, and went to a restaurant known for serving breakfast. The breakfast was amazing, and I ate a dish of eggs with beef and butter. The side dishes were also fantastic. Total price - 29 TL ($9.73) 7:40 Boat to Kadiköy and Kadiköy Market - During our trip so far to Istanbul, we hadn’t had a chance to go to the Asian side of Istanbul. So today, we took the ferry over to Kadiköy pier on the Asian side across the Bosphorus. The views of Istanbul from the Bosphorus were stunning. On the other side, the main thing I wanted to do was explore Kadiköy Market, which was every bit as colorful as I had imagined. The fresh vegetables and seafood were fantastic, and I tried a cup of pickle juice. 1 Week Ago in Mumbai: https://goo.gl/mK6rGs 12:45 Seafood lunch at Balıkçı Lokantası Restaurant - Of all the meals I ate in Istanbul, this was one of my personal favorites, being a seafood lover. Not a far walk from the market, we went to a local family run seafood restaurant called Balıkçı Lokantası Restaurant. The owners were really friendly, and I ordered a plate of hamsi (which are anchovies), and I’m not sure of the name of the other dish, but I got Black Sea salmon braised in olive oil and butter I think with herbs and spices. It was one of the best Turkish foods I ate the entire trip to Istanbul. Wow, it was amazing. 20:50 Turkish Ice Cream - After spending some time exploring the Asian side of Istanbul, we took the ferry back to the European side, and since Istiklal Street was on our route, we stopped to have Turkish ice cream. You also see Turkish ice cream vendors playing with their customers, but when you’re the victim, it’s so confusing and funny. They have some serious skills playing with Turkish ice cream. Do you like Turkish ice cream? 23:49 Zübeyir Ocakbaşı Restaurant - For our final Turkish food meal of the day, we headed over to Zübeyir Ocakbaşı Restaurant. Ocakbaşı is a type of Turkish grill, and they served all sorts of different meat included kebabs and lamb chops in particular. We also got a bunch of side dishes and they cooked the kebabs and lamb chops right in front of us within the center of the restaurant. The kebab was the best I’ve ever had in my mouth, with an amazing mixture of minced meat and spices. Total price - 100 TL ($33.55). Thank you to David from http://beygale.co.il/ for the recommendation. The Ultimate Istanbul Turkish Food Tour - JUICY Kokoreç, Balık Ekmek (Fish Sandwich), and Lahmacun!

32:28
►Check out my Istanbul Travel Guide: http://bit.ly/Istanbul-Guide ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://bit.ly/2d2TA0G Day 10: Istanbul, Turkey - This was one of the best days of eating Turkish food in Istanbul that I had during my visit, and this video is an Istanbul food tour. We started with Turkish breakfast, followed by the famous fish bread sandwich (balik ekmek), followed by kokoreç and midye dolma, and then finally for dinner I ate lahmacun. Although everything was good in this Istanbul food tour, my favorite food of the day was the kokoreç. 00:41 Lades Menemen Restaurant - The first meal on this Turkish food tour was for Turkish breakfast just off Istiklal street. Along with some side dishes, my main order was menemen, which is a type of Turkish egg dish (similar to scrambled eggs) and I got it with Turkish sausage. It came piping hot and bubbling away, and it was extraordinarily delicious, especially with all the other sides. Total price - 34 TL ($11.43) for everything 4:56 Galata Tower - 25 TL ($8.40) per person - On this food tour, we still had to do a little bit of sightseeing, so on our way to the next restaurant, we stopped off at the Galata Tower for an amazing full 360 view of Istanbul. We got there right as they opened, so it was nice and quiet. Galata Bridge, Eminönü, Balık Ekmek - Perhaps one of the most well known Istanbul street foods is, balık ekmek, a fish bread sandwich. Located in Eminönü, and along the water's edge, you’ll find a handful of boats that grill up pieces of mackerel, stuff them into bread, and serve them with lemon juice. You can sit along the pier, and enjoy your fish bread sandwich, and not only is it good, but the atmosphere is also fantastic. Balik Ekmek (fish sandwich) - 8 TL ($2.69) 10:56 Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar) - If I could choose one of my favorite things to do in Istanbul, it would be exploring the Spice Bazaar which is also known as the Egyptian Bazaar. You’ll find an incredible amount of spices and herbs and flavoring ingredients from around the world, packed into the market. After walking around for a while, Ying and I decided to buy some cherries, and the friendly vendor also gave us some samples of fruit as well. Cherries - 1 kg. for 12 TL ($4.03) 13:35 Süleymaniye Mosque - We were in the general area, so we stopped in at Süleymaniye Mosque, an iconic mosque in Istanbul that dominates the skyline. 15:21 Kral Kokoreç - The next food on this Istanbul food tour is kokoreç, and it’s one of the Turkish foods I was most looking forward to eating in Istanbul. Kral Kokoreç is an amazing, sort of street food stall in Istanbul. Kokoreç is a delicacy of organs wrapped in lamb intestines and grilled. I ordered a plate of it to go alongside some bread and it was spectacular. It was one of the best Turkish food meals I had, I loved it. They also sold midye dolma, mussels with rice and spices, and they were also wonderful. Total price - 29 TL ($9.71) - for everything. 22:42 Grand Bazaar - After that amazing meal, we walked over to the Grand Bazaar, which is not only one of the oldest covered markets in Istanbul, but one of the oldest covered shopping areas in the world. It was pretty amazing to walk around, and admire the shops and the actual structure of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. I think the tea was 1 TL ($0.34). 25:47 Fıstık Kebap Lahmacun - To complete this Istanbul food tour, our final stop for dinner was at a restaurant called Fıstık Kebap Lahmacun (thanks to Culinary Backstreets for the recommendation: http://culinarybackstreets.com/cities-category/istanbul/2013/top-3-lahmacun/) to eat lahmacun. At first we started off with aryan and kibbeh, before proceeding onto the lahmacun, pide, and the special fistik kebap. Everything was delicious, but I think I really liked the simplicity and lightness of the lahmacun the best. Total price - 58 TL ($19.49). And that completes this video of the ultimate Turkish food tour of Istanbul, it was an amazing day of food! Music: https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/colourized_127065 https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/turkish-jewel_5347 Disclaimer and Thank You: This trip was made possible by Star Alliance (http://www.staralliance.com/en/round-the-world). Vietnam Nightlife 2017 - Vlog 143 (bars, cheap beer, girls)

20:13
Vietnam Nightlife 2017 - Vlog 143 Saigon (HCMC) - (bars, cheap beer, girls) CAMERA USED IN THIS VIDEO: http://amzn.to/2oT5fmJ A video from 2017 showing a recent night out in Saigon at the popular Bui Vien street. For Bkk112 recommended hotels in Saigon, Vietnam see here: http://bangkok112.com/saigons-best-guest-friendly-hotels-hcmc/ Parts of this video include: 0:04 Intro inc. some Pho noodles and insane traffic while heading to Bui Vien street 1:38 Start of Bui Vien street inc. some bars 3:48 Quick look up an alley 4:39 Very cheap beer prices in a convenience store 5:01 First beer of many on this trip 5:39 Hostess lady with impossibly tight denim shorts 7:08 Hostess bars near Cafe La Vang 9:09 Do Quay dau street, having a cold Bia Saigon Lager for just $0.66 12:01 Beer in the Crazy Girls hostess bar inc. a fire street performer 15:45 Bui Vien street scenes 17:30 View from a rooftop bar on Bui Vien 18:37 Vietnamese police incident 19:52 Outro from the Crazy Horse Circus bar in Patong, Thailand Additional notes: This video was from a recent Visa run to Vietnam, where I stayed in the capital city of Saigon for a few days. This was my first night of many and I was surprised at all the changes from my last Vietnam visit a few years back. It's much busier now than I remember, and there are loads more hostess bars too. The beer is insanely cheap at some bars, and a lot of the regular Vietnamese girls were very easy on the eye. My plan was very simple for this night, eat some Pho and then head to drink beer on Bui Vien street... A word of warning about some of the regular bars on Bui Vien street. Trip advisor reviews are littered with incidents of bill padding, incorrect change being given and not honouring promo deals. Be aware of this if you are drinking here and it's probably not a good idea to run up a big bar tab, but best to pay for each drink as they come to avoid potential problems. There seemed to be more hostess bars this time especially down the 'Crazy Girls' end of Bui Vien street. Ladies are available to be barfined (if they like you) but it's much more low key than other nearby countries. This video ends at midnight, and a following part will be released soon... Thank you for watching, and subscribe for more videos. NB: Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City are the same city, the name was changed after the 70s. The locals all call it Saigon so that's what I call it here. Istanbul Street Food - DELICIOUS Turkish Kofte and Breakfast on Turkish Airlines!

25:50
►Check out my Istanbul travel food guide: https://goo.gl/WVJqhb ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv (affiliate link) Day 8: Istanbul, Turkey - On Day 8, we flew on Turkish Airlines and from Muscat to Istanbul. The flight on Turkish Airlines was fantastic, and I had my first ever Turkish breakfast while in the sky. We then checked into The Ritz-Carlton hotel, and had some amazing Istanbul street food kofte for lunch. Istanbul is a city that I’ve always wanted to visit, and I can’t wait to explore and eat more Turkish food! 0:15 Turkish Breakfast on Turkish Airlines - To begin this day and video my wife and I were on a flight with Turkish Airlines (member of Star Alliance) from Muscat, Oman to Istanbul, Turkey. Turkish Airlines is an amazing airlines, and on business class they served us Turkish breakfast since we happen to fly into Istanbul early in the morning. Bread, olives, cheese, honey, and then the main dish included eggs and vegetables. Great flight with Turkish Airlines! 2:42 Istanbul Atatürk Airport - We arrived to Istanbul very early in the morning and after grabbing our bag, we found the bus outside the terminal to go to Taksim Square. The bus cost 11 TL ($3.73) per person. 4:57 The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul - Marriott Hotels sponsored my stay in Istanbul, and it was an honor to have the opportunity to stay at the The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, which is located just a 5 minute walk from Taksim Square, with a fantastic view of the Bosphorus. We got all checked in, and the room was fantastic. 7:44 Istanbul Street Food - Kofte Sandwich Stall - After taking a little rest in the hotel and drinking some coffee, Ying and I were both pretty hungry. There’s a small Istanbul street food stall that serves amazing grilled kofte, just down the street from The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, and that’s exactly where we headed, right at lunch time. Before ever arriving I could smell the aroma of the meat on the grill and then I could see the colorful display of peppers and parsley surrounding the grill as well. I ordered a kofte sandwich, and after toasting the bread, he added in a bunch of little meat kofte patties, some tomatoes and onions and peppers, seasoned with some spices and chili powder and handed it to me. For 10 TL ($3.40) for sandwich and drink, this was about as good as it could possibly get for Istanbul street food! Wow it was so good. 12:17 Taksim Square and Turkish Coffee at Mandabatmaz (Istiklal Street) - After that amazing kofte sandwich, we continued walking through Taksim Square, one of the most famous landmarks of Istanbul and then on to the walking Istiklal street. The highlight for me was stopping at Mandabatmaz for a cup of the most amazing Turkish coffee I’ve ever had. Turkish coffee - 5 TL ($1.70). 17:04 Fish and Meat House - At this point Ying and I were starting to get really sleepy - we hadn’t really slept the night before. So we stopped for an early dinner at Fish and Meat House to have some grilled fish. I had the grilled sea bream, which was simple and plain but excellently fresh and cooked perfectly. The salad was also delicious. Total price for everything - 74 TL ($25.12). Orlando Gunman Active on Dating Sites

Everyday something new is discovered of Omar Mateen, the man who shot the Orlando, Florida nightclub. An official tells CBS News Orlando that the married gunman was active on dating sites, searching for both men and women. David Begnaud spoke with a woman who said Mateen stalked her after meeting her at a courthouse. CBS News has not been able to prove the story is true but have no reason to believe it is not true. There is at least one other woman who has come forward, telling the Associated Press that she too was stalked by Mateen. http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/woman-tells-cbs-news-orlando-gunman-stalked-her-for-years-2/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Nizwa, Date Palm Oasis, and Omani Street Food Mishkak

►Check out my Muscat Travel Guide: https://goo.gl/bGfsoJ ►Subscribe now: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full playlist: https://goo.gl/Qyn8mH Day 7: Muscat and Nizwa, Oman - We started off in Muscat, then took a drive to Nizwa to visit the fort, had a delicious Omani food lunch, and visited a date palm oasis in the desert. The highlight of the day for me was visiting Misfat Al Abriyeen village and eating Omani street food mishkak. 1:05 Royal Opera House Muscat, Tour - 2 OMR ($5.20) per person - One of the most famous sites in Muscat is the Royal Opera House, and it’s truly an incredible piece of architecture. Although I wasn’t able to visit an opera performance when I was in Muscat, you can go there and admire it from the outside and take a tour to go inside as well. 3:25 Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - One of the places you can’t leave Muscat without seeing is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, built of sandstone and marble. It’s truly a beautiful place to see in Oman. 5:31 Nizwa Fort - 0.5 OMR ($1.30) - Nizwa is one of Oman’s cultural capitals, and it’s located just about an hour from Muscat. Mustafa is actually from Nizwa, and so he offered for us to drive there, and spend the day visiting some of the main attractions in Nizwa and around that area. The Nizwa Fort is right in the center of Nizwa, and it’s well worth a visit when you’re in Oman. 9:28 Lunch at Bin Ateeq Restaurant - For lunch, we were all extremely hot and tired, and we went to an Omani food restaurant in Nizwa called Bin Ateeq Restaurant - they also have some branches of the same restaurant in Muscat as well. They serve a menu of traditional Omani dishes, and we ordered thareed and makbūs. All the food was good, and we ate Omani style, on the floor, with our hands. Total price - about 7.5 OMR ($19.48) 14:34 Al Hamra - After lunch, we drove over to an Oasis in the desert called Al Hamra. It’s a village still today, but there’s an old part of the village that is now deserted, and you can walk around and see the ruins. It was fascinating. 16:07 Misfat Al Abriyeen - But my favorite place we visited on this day was Misfat Al Abriyeen, a date palm Oasis in Oman, that was set on the side of a mountain. Their system of date palms and irrigation was amazing. It was beautiful! 18:38 Oman street food Mishkak in Nizwa - About 1.6 OMR ($4.16) - After getting back from the Oasis, we headed back to Nizwa and had Omani street food mishkak before dinner. The camel skewers were my favorite. 22:31 Dinner at Marsa Al Saiyaad Restaurant - When it comes to Omani food, seafood is very popular, and so for dinner we went to a seafood restaurant in Nizwa called Marsa Al Saiyaad Restaurant. You choose your own fresh seafood, and then they grill everything for you. It was a fantastic final meal in Oman! Total price - About 10 OMR ($25.98) 26:44 Taxi from Nizwa to Muscat Airport - 15 OMR ($38.97), and Muscat Airport - After dinner we took a taxi from Nizwa to the Muscat Airport, and waited to catch our flight to Istanbul, which was at about 1 am. It was a long day, but a fantastic day in Oman. ►Get more details about everything included in this video in my Muscat Travel Guide here: https://goo.gl/bGfsoJ Music: https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/perfect-day_122610 https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/arabian-nights_20426 Star Alliance Round The World: http://www.staralliance.com/en/round-the-world Disclosure: This trip was made possible by Star Alliance and their Round The World tickets who covered my business class flights. Istanbul Turkey - The Main Spots to see in the Center Travel Guide

08:32
Istanbul is an old historic city dating back three hundred thousand years. The only city in the world spanning into two continents. This is a place that's filled with color and so many flavors. The variety of foods and delicacies are among the main attractions. A very crowded area with many tourists and peddlers skimming of the travelers with quick treats and countless souvenirs. It's a place that safe to travel and walk about admiring the old historic sites as long as you respect their customs of dress and behavior. The public transportation services from the airport to the center is easy and comfortable. I spent one day here and the video takes you along a walking tour of the center main spots to see. Unfortunately they are not very friendly to tourists hours since I was not able to enter the Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace as my time ran out. Even though there was plenty of light the Bazaar closes at 7pm which was very disappointing. Near the main sites local youths are very friendly to speak with tourists and offer information, in hopes of possibly being hired as a tour guide. The one thing I did not appreciate was being awakened by a screeching loudspeaker in the middle of the night by their prayer call. But that's the charm of Istanbul. Surviving here on a $20/day meal budget is not difficult as long as you stay away from the centers busy tourist area's. The people are very friendly and helpful, and English was not a problem here. The Experts Speak: Romance Scams | La parole aux experts : La fraude par séduction

The Experts Speak: Romance Scams | La parole aux experts : La fraude par séduction | A romance scammer uses dating websites, social networking websites or meets in person to defraud people. They communicate using fake photos and profiles. They share phoney details of their lives and intentions until they’ve gained your trust. Then the scammer will make up a story to ask you for money. For example, they may claim to need money for a medical emergency or to cover the expenses of a civil court case. Sometimes, the scammer doesn’t ask you for money directly. They may instead ask for help cashing a cheque, for example. In this case, they will forward you a counterfeit cheque and ask you to send back cash via a wire service. Romance scammers can be very patient. They may correspond with you for weeks or even months before asking for money. During this time, they may talk to you on the phone or even send you small gifts to build your trust. Do your research before engaging with someone online (check their name, the company they work for and the country code of the phone number they give you). Istanbul

In Istanbul, we'll lose our way in the Grand Bazaar and munch our way through the famously fragrant Spice Market. We'll follow the fall of the ancient capital of Byzantium and the rise of Islam at the city's ancient wall, and wander among the treasures of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapı Palace. To escape the city bustle, we'll cruise the churning waters of the Bosphorus, make friends over backgammon, and try a traditional Turkish bath. © 2008 Rick Steves' Europe

Incredible Omani Food and Attractions in Muscat (Camel Feast)!

33:15
►Check out my Muscat Travel Guide: https://goo.gl/bGfsoJ ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full playlist: http://bit.ly/2cBTPA0 On Day 6 of our round the world trip for food, we were Muscat, Oman. We started off visiting some attractions in Muscat like the fish market and souk, then had some amazing Omani food, and visited a couple beaches. The highlight of the day for me was eating Omani street food mishkak and an Omani meal of camel and rice. 00:51 Chai karak and cheese bread in the car - A common Omani food breakfast is the combination of tea, which is usually called chai karak, and cheese bread. So after meeting up with Mustafa, we had a quick breakfast in the car before driving over to the Muscat fish market. 2:03 Muscat Fish Market - One of my favorite things to do in any destination is go to the market, and I love fish markets. Muscat, being right along the coast, has plenty of seafood, and so we walked around the Muscat fish market for a while. It’s not a huge fish market, but there’s plenty to see, and it’s a great attraction in Muscat. 4:00 Muttrah Souk - The Muttrah Souk is the traditional market / bazaar in Muscat, and it’s a wonderful place to walk around and get lost shopping and browsing through the narrow alleys. At the Muttrah Souk, Mustafa bought me a kuma, which is a type of hat that’s one of the Omani national hats. 7:42 Al Alam Palace (Sultan's Palace) - After visiting the souk, we drove over the the Al Alam Palace, also known as the Sultan's Palace. Although you can’t go inside, you can get a view of it from the outside. 8:30 Bait Al Zubair Museum - 2 OMR ($5.19) - The Bait Al Zubair Museum is one of the important museums in Muscat and it’s a great place to visit to learn about Omani culture. 9:49 Qantab Beach - There are many beautiful beaches in Oman, and before lunch, we took a drive over to Qantab Beach just to take a look. Qantab Beach is spectacular with sparkling clear water. 11:11 Bait Al Luban Restaurant - For lunch we went to an Omani food restaurant called Bait Al Luban Restaurant. Located near the fish market, it was a former inn that’s now been renovated into a restaurant that serves traditional Omani food and some fusion modern Omani food. The restaurant is popular with both locals and tourists, and although it was a little fancier than I had expected, it was very nice, and the food was delicious. Shuwa is one of the Omani food national dishes, include lamb and rice, and that was one of the best dishes of the meal. 19:13 Qurum Beach - After resting for a while in the afternoon, we then headed to Qurum Beach, one of the main beach attractions in Muscat that’s right within the city. It’s a great place especially when the sun dies down in the late afternoon. 20:03 Al Seeb for Mishkak - There’s not a lot of Omani street food when you’re walking around Muscat, but a short drive away is Al Seeb, and there are some stalls that are famous for serving Mishkak, which is Omani style grilled meat on skewers. All the mishkak was delicious, but I especially liked the mutton liver mishkak. 24:43 Camel Restaurant - I’m not sure what the name of this restaurant was, but they are known in Muscat for serving camel. You walk inside and they have a variety of Omani food dishes already prepared, and you can choose whatever you like. We ordered a combination of camel curry and fried camel with a huge bed of rice, salad, half a chicken and some yoghurt on the side. The camel blew me away with how delicious it was, and especially the chunks of camel hump were extraordinary. Ship crashes into Million Dollar Waterfront Mansion in Istanbul's Bosphorus Caught on Cameras !

03:35
Ship crashes into waterfront mansion in Istanbul after rudder gets stuck. The Bosphorus Strait has been closed to transit traffic after a 225-meter-long Malta-flagged bulk carrier crashed into a historic waterfront mansion in the Anadolu Hisarı area on Saturday after its rudder got stuck, causing substantial damage. The accident happened after the ship's rudder failed and it smashed into the Hekimbaşı Salih Efendi mansion around 4 p.m. The mansion was built in the 18th century and has been used to host weddings and concerts, according to the mansion's website The vessel named Vitaspirit was heading to Ukraine from Egypt. No injuries or environmental threats have been reported from the accident. The scene of the accident was under the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge on Istanbul's Asian side, the coast of which is dotted with posh mansions dating back to Ottoman times. Accidents involving ships crashing into those mansions are rare, with vessels escaping the impact at the last minute occasionally. Turkey's straits are among the most at-risk waterways in the world, according to experts. Over 50,000 vessels, including tankers carrying highly flammable oil, pass through the Bosporus, an S-shaped channel with sharp turns and changing currents that pose challenges for vessels and sailors every year. The deadliest accident was when a Romanian tanker and a Greek freighter collided and exploded in November 1979, killing 42 crew members aboard the Romanian tanker. The last major accident in the strait was in 2003 when a Georgian-flagged vessel ran aground, resulting in a spill of 480 tons of oil.

6,000-year-old Neolithic remains discovered in central Istanbul

00:55
Archaeologists have unearthed Neolithic remains believed to be dating back to 6,000 years during a new metro line construction in central Istanbul.    According to the experts, the discovery will reveal important information that would shed light on the history of Istanbul and the Bosphorus Strait separating the city's Asian and European sides, disclosing significant information about the early settlement alongside the strait.    These structures were seen until the Iron Age and are considered as typical settlements styles of the Thrace region in northwestern part of Turkey.    In April, archaeologists have first unearthed some 19th and 20th century ruins at the same site.    Following that discovery the authorities have slightly shifted the location of the metro station allowing the experts to dig further the bottom layers.
