Is Google always listening: Live Test

08:56
Follow up video: https://youtu.be/kv8gvXPwWjY Does Google and Facebook listen in and record conversations and audio even when they're not open? I perform a live test using Google chrome on a Windows 10 PC to discover whether my microphone appears to be recording me even when my browser is turned off in order to better target advertisements. As pointed out in the comments, there are too many flaws in my methodology to draw any conclusions (for instance I am live streaming directly to YouTube which of course necessitates recording my microphone the whole time). For a much more rigorous and scientific test watch here: https://youtu.be/SmM9ch_oXA4

Cool Hearing Test: Are You a Superhuman?

08:13
An average human is capable of hearing frequencies from 20hz to 20000hz. Are you a superhuman or worse than average? Check it out! The older we get, the harder it becomes for us to hear high-frequency sounds. The worse it gets, the fewer chances you have of hearing the birds sing, the beeping of your microwave, and even consonants like s,h or f. You don’t want that to happen to you, right? Do you have any reasons to worry about it? How can you test your ears? Here's a simple, but 100 % accurate test you can take, and we are going to run it in a few moments. When it’s done, we are going to share some fun facts on hearing we bet you didn’t know. What should you do? Put on your headphones. Make sure you are in a quiet place, with no background noises. TIMESTAMPS Test description 0:35 Best hearing test ever 2:15 Results 3:05 10 fun facts about hearing 3:46 SUMMARY How many of you turned out to be superhumans who could catch the sound at 150? Anyone? Oh, yours was 120? That’s pretty amazing, too. 110? That is also better than the average result. Well done! Now, let us see how many of us hear have average or better than average hearing. If your results are not so good, do not panic. Your age influences your ability to hear high frequencies, remember? If it’s really bad, try it again. Maybe the sound was off on your computer. If you are perfectly sure it’s not the computer to blame, you might want to see a doctor to figure out what’s wrong. Hearing Test HD

06:00
Hearing Test in HD quality. Sinusoidal wave starting at 20 Hz frequency and going up to 20 kHz frequency. It's recommended that you listen to this using headphones. If you can't hear anything above 16000 Hertz it's probably because Youtube's audio compression cut off frequencies above 16kHz. Try watching in HD to get better audio quality.

A Simple Test Will Show If You Are a Genuine Introvert

13:21
According to statistics, the majority of people are extroverts, and their eyes are looking to the outside world. Introverts are a smaller group. It is believed that it’s easier for them to focus, that's why they can cope with our test without difficulty. And then, there are ambiverts – they are right in the middle and have the best of both worlds. But what type are you? It's time to find out more about yourself: just look at a couple of pictures and try to find the hidden items in them. TIMESTAMPS Picture #1 1:01 Picture #2 2:08 Picture #3 3:01 Picture #4 3:55 Picture #5 4:51 Picture #6 5:43 Picture #7 6:38 Picture #8 7:30 SUMMARY - If you found the items easily, then you can be referred to as an introvert. You possess unique observation skills, and you know how to focus and see the tiniest details. You prefer to be by yourself rather than inside a noisy get-together, and feel a bit tired after you've spent hours communicating with others. Instead of going to the big party, you will most probably just stay home and read a book or watch the last episode of your favorite TV show, which you were too busy to catch up before. And you will still have a great time! - If you became bored looking for the items and lost your patience, then you are probably an extrovert. You are an active and emotional human being. You're completely different from the previous type – you will most probably become the life of the party, even if nobody knew you when you got there! After you've spent loads of time communicating, you feel energized and inspired by other people. You like to have conversations with others, and you know how to attract attention. You have a lot of friends and a long list of acquaintances, and you enjoy getting to know new people and make new friends. You are open to everything that's going on in your life, and you tend to react emotionally in most of the situations. - If you experienced difficulties but still passed the test, then you are an ambivert — a rare type of personality. You were probably confused listening about introverts and extroverts, as you could find similar traits to your character in both of these descriptions. Well, that's because you're right in the middle of the spectrum! You are a person of many talents, you know how to adapt to different environments, and you find it easy to talk to almost everyone. You're confident in yourself, and you feel comfortable in pretty much every social situation. Cambridge YLE A2 Flyers Speaking Exam

07:22
Kids Can English School www.kidscando.it A2 Flyers Speaking Exam 7–9 minutes/4 parts The Speaking test is a face-to-face test with one candidate and one examiner. It lasts approximately 8 minutes. The examiner’s language is scripted to ensure fairness to all candidates. The script gives examiners scope to offer help and encouragement. Each child is taken into the test by an usher. This is someone who speaks the candidate’s first language and may be known to the child. The usher explains the test format in the child’s first language, before taking the child into the exam room and introducing them to the examiner. The mark for the Speaking test is based on a rating for Vocabulary and Grammar, Pronunciation and Interaction.

PET Exam Preparation workshop paper 1

00:51
Most language teachers think that teaching learners toward an exam prep such as PET or KET, is a completely different method than teaching general English. Actually, the only difference is the focus of each test paper and how the teacher needs to narrow the knowledge shared to fit the exam paper format. I do strongly believe that a below A1 learner can move to A2 if his/her teacher knows how to lead him/her through the papers needed to achieve.

IELTS CAMBRIDGE 12 LISTENING TEST 1 FULL Scription & Answers

33:02
IELTS ACADEMIC band 9 material. ( PLEASE CLICK ON 'CC' UNDER THE VIDEO TO SEE THE SUBTITLES ) Speaking is in three parts. The examiner wants to know what is your level of English. The questions are already set. Your response is recorded. Your score depends upon how clearly the examiner can understand you. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Test format The IELTS test assesses your abilities in listening, reading, writing and speaking – in less than three hours. There are two types of the IELTS test: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. Listening and Speaking are the same for both tests, but the subject matter of the Reading and Writing components differs depending on which test you take. The Listening, Reading and Writing components of all IELTS tests are completed on the same day, with no breaks in between them. The Speaking component, however, can be completed up to a week before or after the other tests. Your test centre will advise. The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes. Test format – Listening 30 minutes You will listen to four recordings of native English speakers and then write your answers to a series of questions. Recording 1 – a conversation between two people set in an everyday social context. Recording 2 - a monologue set in an everyday social context, e.g. a speech about local facilities. Recording 3 – a conversation between up to four people set in an educational or training context, e.g. a university tutor and a student discussing an assignment. Recording 4 - a monologue on an academic subject, e.g. a university lecture. Assessors will be looking for evidence of your ability to understand the main ideas and detailed factual information, the opinions and attitudes of speakers, the purpose of an utterance and evidence of your ability to follow the development of ideas. Test format – Reading 60 minutes The Reading component consists of 40 questions, designed to test a wide range of reading skills. These include reading for gist, reading for main ideas, reading for detail, skimming, understanding logical argument and recognising writers' opinions, attitudes and purpose. IELTS Academic test - this includes three long texts which range from the descriptive and factual to the discursive and analytical. These are taken from books, journals, magazines and newspapers. They have been selected for a non-specialist audience but are appropriate for people entering university courses or seeking professional registration. IELTS General Training test - this includes extracts from books, magazines, newspapers, notices, advertisements, company handbooks and guidelines. These are materials you are likely to encounter on a daily basis in an English-speaking environment. Test format – Academic Writing 60 minutes IELTS Academic test Topics are of general interest to, and suitable for, test takers entering undergraduate and postgraduate studies or seeking professional registration. There are two tasks: Task 1 - you will be presented with a graph, table, chart or diagram and asked to describe, summarise or explain the information in your own words. You may be asked to describe and explain data, describe the stages of a process, how something works or describe an object or event. Task 2 - you will be asked to write an essay in response to a point of view, argument or problem. Responses to both tasks must be in a formal style. IELTS General Training Topics are of general interest. There are two tasks: Task 1 - you will be presented with a situation and asked to write a letter requesting information, or explaining the situation. The letter may be personal, semi-formal or formal in style. Task 2 - you will be asked to write an essay in response to a point of view, argument or problem. The essay can be fairly personal in style. Test format – Speaking 11–14 minutes The speaking component assesses your use of spoken English. Every test is recorded. Part 1 - the examiner will ask you general questions about yourself and a range of familiar topics, such as home, family, work, studies and interests. This part lasts between four and five minutes. Part 2 - you will be given a card which asks you to talk about a particular topic. You will have one minute to prepare before speaking for up to two minutes. The examiner will then ask one or two questions on the same topic. Part 3 - you will be asked further questions about the topic in Part 2. These will give you the opportunity to discuss more abstract ideas and issues. This part of the test lasts between four and five minutes.
