A Level Physics - Referencing (Harvard and Vancouver Systems)

06:09
This is a really important skill you need to learn and then put in practice across your work now and in the future. When you cite information you should be able to reference the source so that someone else can find it. It does not matter which method you use, both Harvard and Vancouver systems are equally valid. Find out more on page 48 of the OCR Practical Skills Handbook: http://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/295483-practical-skills-handbook.pdf If you would like to see more A Level Physics videos then please Subscribe to my channel to keep updated with new videos and to search the Playlists already created. Frames of Reference: A trippy physics lecture from 1960

27:26
This clever and stylish 1960 film is the most fun you’ll ever have at a physics lecture Directed by the pioneering UK documentarian Richard Leacock, Frames of Reference is a slick and surreal dive into physics fundamentals and, in particular, why everything is indeed relative. Produced for high-school physics classes, the 1960 film features the physics professors Patterson Hume and Donald Ivey of the University of Toronto explaining, through an intertwined series of lectures and clever demonstrations, how frames of reference shape perspective. Using rotating sets, camera tricks and a visual style that suggests the film noir of Alfred Hitchcock, this is perhaps the most peculiarly entertaining half-hour physics lecture you’ll ever have. Physics Cheat Sheet For My Final!

04:28
A cheat sheet is a reference sheet or formulas sheet we are allowed to use during an exam to help memory! I asked everyone around me how they call these type of sheets and people told me "cheat sheets" so that's how I call them in English now... But according to Google searches "cheat sheets" seems like a term used to cheat during an exam...... which is NOT what I do! lol! I'll publish a video soon with detailed step on how I do my cheat sheets :) I think this sheet took me like 10 hours to do?! :) Stream schedule for live study sessions: https://girlknowstech.com/calendar-study-sessions/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ABOUT ME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I'm a third-year software engineering student, and I live in Montreal, Canada. Music made by Gordon McGladdery, "A Shell In the Pit". Gordon's work is awesome, you should check it out. http://ashellinthepit.bandcamp.com/ Glenn Replogle, the Figure Skating and Hockey Player coach was great to work with. Also, a big thanks to Glenn for helping me borrow two skates from the Huntsville IcePlex. http://www.iceskate.org/ Nick Laurila was very helpful and accommodating. We also became friends pretty fast. It would bring me great joy if people reading this video randomly years into the future would randomly tweet hot dog photos with the words "Here's a Hot Dog on @SmarterEveryDay" to him https://twitter.com/Nick_L12 . He has reminders setup in his phone when local fast food chains have "Dollar Hot Dog day". It's quite funny, but deep down I'm jealous of how clever it is. Robert Farrell answered my Facebook appeal for Photographers/Videographers in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area and filmed the skaters at the Pettit National ice Center for me. He's a photographer http://www.robertfarrellphotography.com/ ------------------------------- With thanks to: JR Ginex-Orinion - he helped me by putting the equation in LaTex and giving me a file. This saved me a lot of time and I'm grateful. Kevin Butler at the Pettit National Ice Center in Wisconsin was helpful in coordinating the filming of the speed skaters. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GET SMARTER SECTION If you want to learn this in detail stop what you're doing and read the three pages around "Equation 5" in this book. I was particularly interested in the "warm ice" vs "cold ice" issues. http://bit.ly/1jRa32X This is also a great article about why ice is slippery: http://lptms.u-psud.fr/membres/trizac/Ens/L3FIP/Ice.pdf ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tweet ideas to me @SmarterEveryDay Instead of saving for my kids' college, I make videos using the money I would have saved. The thought is it will help educate the world as a whole, and one day generate enough revenue to pay for their education. Until then if you appreciate what you've learned in this video and the effort that went in to it, please SHARE THE VIDEO! If you REALLY liked it, feel free to support "Smarter Every Day" on Patreon or Subbable. Warm Regards, Destin

How to use physics in Anime Studio - MOHO Pro

18:34
Probably one of the least used, best kept secrets of Anime Studio is the EXTREMELY powerful physics engine that can be used to create animations! This tutorial just covers the basics of physics but only scratches the surface of what you can to with it! You can create crumbling buildings, breaking glass, destructible environments and debris, impact objects like bowling pins, rag doll characters... the list of possibilities goes on and on! It isn't used a lot from what I've seen but hopefully those of you who see this find this useful and start using it more and more! It is extremely fun to play around with and with the right imagination could be really useful in practical animations!

[NS2] NS1 (HL) style air physics demo (SpectatorMarine)

01:42
You can use this mod with most mods: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=899400036 SpectatorMarine doesn't have the ground friction effect. Essentially its nothing more than quake 1 physics with a maximum ground speed of 5 m/s as opposed to 10 m/s. This air physics does not have air control (which redirects your movement vector directly, like Unreal Engine's air physics) howevere there is a combined physics mod that combines quake 3 style strafe jumping, quake 1 style strafe jumping (for its turning ability) and air control (for safer lossless turning) called Challenge ProMode, or CPM. CPM physics are integrated in the ProTrem mod for NS2, which is now no longer compatible with the current game due to updates. ========================= Links: Reference Website (Tremulous Resource Link Heaven etc.): http://sites.google.com/site/zdrytchx/ War Thunder Invite (Grants Invitee 50 GE): http://warthunder.com/en/registration?r=userinvite_8745385 Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/zdrytchx Chiptunes: http://2a03.free.fr/?p=pub&dir=ZdrytchX Bandcamp: https://zdrytchx.bandcamp.com/ Tremulous: http://tremulous.net https://sites.google.com/site/zdrytchx/how-to/tremulous-install-for-newbies - Discord: AusTrem (Includes links to other discord servers): https://discord.gg/010fH1wvGbmQwabrU BMAD squadron: https://discord.gg/AYXYVbW IL-2 BoS: https://discord.gg/WemYEVk IL-2 AuS:https://discord.gg/29KYmm2
Michio Kaku: Why Physics Ends the Free Will Debate

Quantum Physics for 7 Year Olds | Dominic Walliman | TEDxEastVan

15:36
In this lighthearted talk Dominic Walliman gives us four guiding principles for easy science communication and unravels the myth that quantum physics is difficult to understand, it’s all in how it’s explained. Dominic Walliman is a physicist, and award-winning science writer. He received his PhD in quantum device physics from the University of Birmingham and currently works at D-Wave Systems Inc., a quantum computing company in Vancouver. Dominic grew up reading science books and remembers vividly the excitement of discovering the mind-boggling explanations that science gives us about the Universe. If he can pass on this wonder and enjoyment to the next generation, he will consider it a job well done. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Max Payne 3 EUPHORIA Ragdoll Physics Engine - 20 min of Kills Showcase GAMEPLAY

20:08
Max Payne 3 EUPHORIA Ragdoll Physics Engine - 20 min of Brutal Kills GAMEPLAY This Showcase was only possible because of the use of CheatEngine/Trainer Mod - Infinite Health/God Mode , No Reload, Disarm enemies and no Arcade timing Max Payne 3 is a third-person shooter video game developed by Rockstar Studios[a] and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on May 15, 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; a Microsoft Windows port was released on May 29, 2012, followed by an OS X port on June 20, 2013. The game is the first entry in the Max Payne series since 2003's Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, developed by Remedy Entertainment. The game is played from a third-person perspective. Throughout the single-player mode, players control Max Payne, a former detective who has become a vigilante after the murder of his wife and daughter. Nine years after the events of the second game, Max becomes employed as a private security contractor in Brazil, but quickly becomes entangled in a quest filled with death and betrayal. An online multiplayer mode is included with the game, allowing up to 16 players to engage in both cooperative and competitive gameplay in re-creations of multiple single-player settings. As part of their research for the game's setting, the developers conducted field research around São Paulo throughout development and captured footage for the design team. Development duties were shared between many of Rockstar's studios worldwide. At release, Max Payne 3 received highly positive reactions from critics, with praise particularly directed at its narrative, atmosphere, attention to detail and action, though some criticism was aimed at the change in style from its predecessors, as well as its linear design and depiction of São Paulo. Max Payne 3 received high sales, shipping approximately three million units in the first week of release. It was nominated for multiple year-end accolades from several gaming publications, winning a variety of them. Euphoria is a British game animation engine created by NaturalMotion based on Dynamic Motion Synthesis, NaturalMotion's proprietary technology for animating 3D characters on-the-fly "based on a full simulation of the 3D character, including body, muscles and motor nervous system".[2] Instead of using predefined animations, the characters' actions and reactions are synthesized in real-time; they are different every time, even when replaying the same scene. While it is common for current video games to use limp "ragdolls" for animations generated on the fly, Euphoria employs a more complex method to animate the entirety of physically bound objects within the game environment.[3] The engine was to be used in an Indiana Jones game that has since been cancelled. According to its web site, Euphoria runs on the Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS and Android platforms and is compatible with all commercial physics engines. A press release that was enclosed with the second trailer eventually confirmed that Grand Theft Auto IV is the first of Rockstar's games to feature Euphoria.[4][5] Red Dead Redemption is their second game to also use this engine. The Star Wars titles, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and The Force Unleashed II also use Euphoria. The newest title using Euphoria is Grand Theft Auto V.[citation needed] Euphoria is used in a few of the games based on the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine. I am NOT supporting violence, this is only a game and i'm just showcasing the amazing euphoria engine. ***************SUBSCRIBE******************** For future videos Thanks for watching

Sound Of Physics [Parody of "Sound Of Silence" in the style of Disturbed]

04:14
IT IS OKAY, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO LAUGH. IT IS FUNNY ON PURPOSE! I don't own any of this other than the words I switched and the voices in the video. The original music is not mine, I can barely play kazoo. And I apologize for the lack of quality in he higher section of the song. My mic wasn't ready for such a task. Sound Of Physics lyrics: Hello physics, my old friend I’ve come to calculate again Because a cat softly creeping, Knocked a vase over while I was sleeping. And 10 meters was the distance of the shards, The floor was scarred, within the sound of PHYSICS. Nothing to do, I toss a stone, Up and down as boredom shone It was slower going skyward, But velocity increased downwards When my eyes were stabbed By the rock which was in flight, It hurt alright, And I yelled into the sound of PHYSICS. And in the naked light I saw, Ten physicists maybe more, Doing calculations by hand, Measuring frequencies we understand. People making sounds, That I couldn’t hear, And no one dare, Disturb the sound of PHYSICS. “Why?” Said I, “Should I care? My full range goes from here to there! It is probably impossible you feel, But years of practice would build skill.” But my words like silent raindrops fell And echoed in the wells of PHYSICS. And the people bowed and prayed, To the PHYSICS god they made. And the Physics god shows no mercy to all, Sent everyone into free fall. And then it said, “Remember my children, The world is not impossible,” [In reference to calling things physically impossible] As we fell, Screaming into the sound of PHYSICS

[NS1] Ground and Air physics - Natural Selection (1) examination

01:40
This is actually a standalone version before the license changed and made it forcibly dependant on half life, or so i heard. In other words, this client isn't exactly illegal or legal, because it doesn't require half life, but it cannot connect to the half life masterlist which means it can't even play online anyway. Who cares, I got something to test with! Also definitions on bhop/strafe jump: The actual calculations are the same. Bhop name probably comes from the fact that you need to press the jump key every time you jump in the half life derrived games. It's still a form of strafe jumping because the calculations are the same, the technique is the same (by that I mean the theory and concept behind it, go see my "trem 1.1 epic5" strafe video, where I swap over from Q3 to Q1 style strafe jumping) but the numbers are just different. You have a higher acceleration value (varies between 70 and 150 * the player's movement speed in units per second per second) and a very short / small speed limit (usually 30 units per second). Tbh I was kinda suprised to see that most NS2 sound effects aren't actally new at all, they were all seem to be ns1 originals (and pretty good sound sampling too). If there's nothing much to copyright about those assets, why the hell did they have to go through the trouble and making it an FSB format? UWE'ey'd again, hah. ========================= My Reference Website (Tremulous Resource Link Heaven:): - https://sites.google.com/site/zdrytchx/home/handy-links My Reference Website in general: http://sites.google.com/site/zdrytchx/ Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/zdrytchx Bandcamp: https://zdrytchx.bandcamp.com/ Tremulous: http://tremulous.net - GrangerHub Community forums (used to be named acidtu.be): http://discourse.grangerhub.com
